No faux pas this. Preete Bahll is indeed a designer with a difference. |
Preete’s talent comes naturally to her. Her designs have attitude, her fashion sense global. A 15-year tryst with this trade has made Preete a very hands-on person in her field. |
Looking Back
Preete started way back with a NIFT degree and a job with a buying house that required her to work closely with designers of Monsoon (U.K.), Takara (Paris), Stephen Klien (Spain), and Morifuji (Japan). |
Soon, she developed her forte in Indo-Western ladies garments, combining contemporary Western cuts with traditional designs and embroideries. One of her earlier fashion shows was covered extensively as the then-popular Khoobsurat episode in Zee TV. It featured top models of the time such as Aishwarya Rai, Mehr Jessia, Noyonika Chatterjee, Jesse, Achala, and Namrata Shirodkar. |
Fusion Looks
Preete’s specialization currently is fusion clothes; a blend of the Western and Indian that appeals to the modern, contemporary woman. The garments have a global, international look completely with the stamp of India’s rich culture and design heritage. |

Recently, Preete held a solo show at The Grand Intercontinental Hotel, with the Hawaiian theme. What really rocked the audience as well as the Press was the street show setting. It was covered extensively in leading newspapers like The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, Asian Age, The Hindu, and The Statesman as well as DD Metro, NDTV, Aaj Tak, and Fashion TV. |
